Student Dormitory

The school offers a fully equipped dormitory room option for new students. There are full-time staff available 24 hours a day to support the students with their living and health condition needs. Fukuoka is a generally less expensive area to live in compared to places such as Osaka and Tokyo. This should help to reduce your living cost burdens.

My Dormitory Experience
TRAN LE DUY

I am from Vietnam. I had almost no experience living in a dormitory there. After coming to Japan, I was excited and anxious at the same time since it was my first time living in a dormitory. “How would a Japanese dormitory be like? Would I be able to get along with everyone?”, I was wondering and worried about the dorm facilities, living environment and a lot more.
Then my dormitory life began, and I found that I was able to enjoy it with everyone more than I had expected. The dormitory manager was very kind and gentle, and he took very good care of me when I was sick. My parents in Vietnam seemed to feel relieved as they did not need to worry too much about me because of him. After I recovered, I was able to enjoy my every day dormitory life and my school life. Moreover, I came to learn about Japanese culture and rules such as garbage disposal through my stay here.
I have grown through the Japanese dormitory life.

My home country is Nepal. Having lived with my family back there, at first, I thought my dormitory life would be difficult. I worried a lot about people I did not know, new places, things I did not understand, and cultural differences between Nepal and Japan. Although it was hard for me to live alone in the beginning, I gradually got used to my dormitory life and made new friends so my life became enjoyable. The rent of the dormitory was cheaper than an apartment, and utilities were also cheaper. The room was spacious and had Wi-Fi, which was convenient, and we felt very safe in the presence of the dormitory manager. He was always there to help us whenever we had problems or did not understand something. I think the dormitory is good for international students to live by themselves. It is the best place for them to get used to Japanese culture, rules and manners through everyday life.
I will never forget how the dormitory manager treated us like family. The memories I had in the dormitory are so precious for me.
